Overview

The Town of Wainwright is currently accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Utility Operator. This position involves operating and maintaining the Town’s water distribution system as well as the sewage collection and treatment system. Experience in water and sewer installation is an asset.

As a condition of employment, this individual must have Level II Water Distribution & Level II Wastewater Collection Certificates or be willing to obtain the necessary certificates. Applicants must also be physically fit, capable of entering confined spaces, possess a Class 5 driver’s license and a clean criminal record.

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E Local 5606, and as such, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. The Town of Wainwright offers competitive wages and an excellent benefit package.
